Mate, I’ve not been up ther in almost 4years. great roads, nice cops too. I was up there in my 12' boss last, its actually the picture in my profile. How was it up there? what did you drive?

Trust me, it’s worth the drive. pushing hard up there is the closest i got to brake fade in the Mustang, that includes a track day at calder. the higher you get the tighter and more technical it becomes, surface changes mid corner, off camber and narrow sections. its just joy. how my wife didn’t puke, I’ll never know. I was chasing down an 08' STI stowards the top, and I think his girlfriend gave out before my wife did. I’m dying to go back, but it’s to technical for any real pace in the m5, and the ISF is under tyred at the front. The resort at the top has views that make you just fall in love with victoria, and then you drive down into Bright, and wonder how a village could be in a more picturesque place.

I don’t understand why people would put cameras anywhere else than behind the driver... A lot more immersive than this...

I agree, but have you’ve ever watched a video where there driver has a camera attached to their head? https://www.windingroad.com/  does a tonne of videos just like that.

Oh that’s great too, my point is that steering inputs have to be visible in order to make video in any way immersive...

the driver would be locked up for driving like a loony!

if it was in a Porsche you would be right about the footage. but if the car is only an auto Commodore/Falcon/Toyota Camry or similar, would you want to see someone steering it?

Anything can be hooned... If it looks boring, it would solely be the fault of the driver, not of the camera placement :)
